Lola

LOLA is a gorgeous 5-year-old TORTOISESHELL PERSIAN. She weighs 7.5 pounds, is spayed and has her claws. This girl wears a dense cottony coat in vibrant shades of black and pumpkin spice with an adorable contrasting white bib, belly and socks. She’s currently in a lion cut.

Don’t let that grumpy look fool you, Lola is a sweetheart. She was surrendered to rescue by a family who loved her but could no longer care for her. Like many torties, Lola carries traits that make her both loving and independent. She loves to be petted and is quite the purr bug – but when she’s done, she’s done. And that’s okay, because we adore a girl who knows what she likes.

Lola will do best in a quiet, adult home and would love to be some lucky person’s one and only. We believe she has the potential to become quite attached to her human. We’re told that Lola once lived with a dog, so we’d consider a home with a dog who would ignore her. As far as we know, she has  not lived with other cats in the past and we think she’d do just fine as an only feline. However, we would consider adopting her to a home with another laid-back cat, given proper introductions

Lola’s heavy coat needs regular grooming and like many Persians, this girl is not a fan of being combed. Her new family must commit to keeping Lola groomed – and if history is any indicator, Lola will need periodic professional grooming. Her coat is just too much for her to manage. In the past, she hasn’t allowed her humans to maintain it, so she’ll need sedated groomings three or four times a year.   Lola loves her wet food and wants to go to a home that will continue to feed it
