Amelia

Amelia is an affectionate, tiny 8 pound 5-year-old spayed female PLATINUM MINK TONKINESE with all her claws and bright blue eyes. She has been fully vetted and is ready to go to her forever home.

Amelia came to SPCR when her owner could no longer care for her. She started out very shy, but has come around on her own time. She loves her head and body scratched and will purr for hours while lying next to you. Amelia does not really like being picked up, but she will tolerate it in small increments. She loves hanging out in her cat tree, utilizing the top for sunbathing and the hideaway house for sleeping. Amelia is still learning what toys are and how fun they can be, but she does love the occasional catnip!

In a new environment, Amelia is shy and reserved at first. She will hide and crawl with her belly close to the ground. She’d do best in a quieter home with a stable routine.

Amelia would be fine as an only cat, but she is comfortable with other non-dominant, gentle cats. She has not been introduced to dogs, as they would be a little too much for her reserved nature. She has been exposed to older children who know how to approach a cat slowly and respectfully.
