Project Description

WOODY is a handsome, 1-2 year old ABYSSINIAN and weighs about 6 lbs. He is current on his vaccinations and has all his claws.

Woody came to SPCR from a retired breeder where he was one of many kitties and not comfortable with people. When he came to his foster home, he avoided interacting with his foster family for several weeks as he was getting used to the sounds and smells of his foster home.  It took a few months for Woody to come out of his shell, but now he greets his foster family at the door of his room, tells them when he’s hungry by running laps around the room, plays with toys, and asks to be petted.  He is still not comfortable being picked up, held, or on a lap, but his foster mom believes that will come soon enough, at his pace.

Woody has been a wonderful house guest, eating well (he’s very food motivated!) and using his litter box 100% of the time.  He enjoys playing with wand toys, pens, balls of paper
