Sylvie

SYLVIE is a sweet, blue 2-year-old SELKIRK REX/TONKINESE MIX who came into rescue because her family could no longer care for her.  She is spayed and has her claws.

This lamb is a tiny girl at 6-1/2 pounds and has a short, curly coat typical of her Selkirk heritage. She also has the cutest curly whiskers we’ve ever seen. Sylvie is quite shy and has taken weeks to get comfortable in her foster house. She’s rooming with Mowglee (also up for adoption), a sweet, registered Selkirk boy that accompanied her into rescue. Sylvie is quite attached to Mowglee and would love to go home with him, but she would also do fine in a home with another gentle fur bud or two that she might pal around with. She could live her best life with a docile cat or two. We’d also consider placing her in a home with an older, calm dog. Older, respectful kids would likely be fine, but Sylvie will do best in a quiet house.

Sylvie is asking for a patient family who will let her blossom in her own time. Best practice would be to put Sylvie in a small “safe” room in her new house while she becomes acclimated to her surroundings. Ideally, she could stay in a small bathroom or other room where there is no human bed or furniture to hide under. It might take weeks for her to become comfortable enough to venture out. But your patience will be rewarded a hundred-fold, because once Sylvie trusts, she loves with all her heart. (Check out the video of Sylvie’s foster dad petting her.)

This tiny doll loves her wet food breakfast and grazes on kibble throughout the day. She’s asking to go to a home where they don’t mind feeding wet food.
