Project Description

Sylvie is a gorgeous, GORGEOUS, Silver Classic Patched Tabby Maine Coon with beautiful green eyes.  She just turned 3 years old in March, so she has a couple more years to be considered fully mature. She currently weighs about 16 pounds, is spayed, has her claws and is fully vetted and microchipped.

Sylvie was surrendered to SPCR when the family that had purchased her as a kitten from a breeder felt she would be happier in a quiet home without children. This girl is all Maine Coon, from her magnificent ear tufts to her wonderful full mane, down to her impressive and expressive tail!  Once Sylvie feels safe and gets to know you, you’ll find an affectionate girl who loves to be pet and will flop down on her side next to you for belly rubs. She loves cheek, chin and butt scratches too!  She is not overly active, but does like playtime with a wand toy, proving she is still a kitten. She is also quite content just to sit in a cat tree looking out a window, watching and talking to the birds and squirrels.  Sylvie likes to be brushed, so this has become a daily activity for her and her foster mom. Her coat is on the cottony side, so this helps keep her looking her best.

She is currently sharing her foster room with one other cat and the two are fine together as they both are low-key cats who respect each other’s space. Given a proper, slow introduction, she should be OK around a calm, gentle dog who has been around cats before.  We know she would be happy being someone’s one and only pet too.  The best home environment for Sylvie is one that is quiet with adults who have prior experience with large-breed cats. While she will need time and gentle reassurance at first, once she feels safe and loved she will blossom in her forever home💕 Adoption Fee $350. Fostered in Milwaukee, WI.
