Project Description

Meet LUNA, an adorable teeny, under-five-pound brown tabby PERSIAN. She is spayed and has her claws. Let’s just state the obvious: This girl is in her golden years. We don’t know for sure, but we think Luna is around 12 years old. From what we can piece together, Luna was adopted from SPCR when she was fairly young. Fast-forward some 10 years later and SPCR became aware that this sweet girl needed to come back into rescue. We’re not sure of the circumstances, perhaps the owner(s) passed away, but Luna was severely matted and badly in need of TLC. No worries, we had her groomed and checked out at the vet. Her bloodwork is very good, indicating that in spite of her senior status, she is in remarkable health. Luna had a dental with no extractions and her teeth are now polished and sparkling clean. We don’t know what happened to Luna’s left eye, but whatever it was, it must have occurred years ago. It doesn’t seem to bother her at all, and her remaining eye is a brilliant emerald green. With an eye so beautiful, who needs two, anyway? What a sweet cat who has been down on her luck. Once she gets to know you, Luna is super friendly and simply cannot get enough petting. She loves to follow her foster family around the room to help out with any and all chores. She’s a loving purr bug who craves attention. She lived with another cat in her home, and she’s sharing a room in foster care with several other cats. Luna can be a bit bossy with fur buds, so if she goes to live with other cats, they should be laid back. A gentle dog would be fine and respectful kids would be awesome! This girl has been perfect house guest with impeccable litter box habits and a healthy appetite. No special food needed, although Luna enjoys a bowl of chicken baby food at bedtime. She will also need periodic grooming as her coat grows back in. This sweetheart is asking for a quiet adult home with soft beds and windows through which she can bird gaze. It’s been truthfully said that one person can’t save all the cats in the world, but one person can save the world for this girl. She is super sweet and gentle, and so trusting of people even though she lived through what appears to be a pretty tough time. A special kitty asking for a special home. Apply for her today. ADOPTION FEE $100. FOSTERED IN PEORIA, IL
