Project Description

This gorgeous girl is a two year old female Chestnut Oriental Shorthair. Royal has her claws and has perfect litter box manners.  Royal came to us when one of our shelter partners asked if we could help this stressed little brown kitty who had stopped eating. We took in this little beauty who was just skin and bones and showed her how very special she was. After being in a home settling again and having great vet care this little princess decided life was worth living and food was totally worth eating again! She did have a set back when she began stress grooming, something not uncommon with this particular breed, but is doing great now. She has steadily gained weight and is now 100% healthy and ready to find a new kingdom to rule. Royal as her name implies is will require a home that will treat her like the queen she is. A home that understands the sensitive, active, and playful nature of this breed. Orientals bond very closely with their people and demand attention and interaction. They like to be part of everything going on in your home.Orientals are very intelligent and need mental stimulation to keep them happy or they will create their own fun and games and they may not be what you had in mind.  Daily play and hunting type games are great. Royal will not be adopted out to anyone with children under 8. Royal would do best with another VERY active cat friend. Her foster mom will be seeking applicants that have oriental or siamese experience or are very educated and dedicated to the joys of being owned by an oriental shorthair. Adoption Fee $350. Fostered in Baroda, Michigan
