Project Description

Pippin

PIPPIN is a BLUE PERSIAN.  She is 10 years old, spayed and has her claws.  Pippin has been in foster care for about 1.5 months, arriving with minimal background information, after her elderly owner passed away and the family was unable to care for her.  She arrived matted and wary of people.  Her checkup at the vet confirmed her to be in great shape at 10 years young.   She is growing out a lion cut, and has a soft, silkier coat.  Pip tolerates some brushing, but will let you know with a quick swat when she’s had enough.    Given the condition of her coat when arriving in foster care, we suspect she is experiencing ultra-sensitivity on her exposed skin; this may dissipate over time.  Working in short grooming periods are recommended, or keeping her in a short cut.   She has a relatively flat face, and breathes well.  She has minimal eye drainage, but will let you wipe the inside corners of her eyes without any protests.

Pippin is a very confident lady, with the tendency to be bossy with other cats.   She loves a good game of chase and is a superior squirrel scout.  She is an independent kitty and would rather spend her time napping in her bed, or sitting on the window ledge (see: squirrels above) instead of mooning over her people.  She’s got the best little puffy cheeks, but doesn’t appreciate you kissing them.  Apparently.   Pip can startle and/or hiss at unfamiliar faces, or loud noises. She swats first and asks questions later.  Small children are not recommended, and caution older children to be respectful and alert to body language.   Pippen likes to be the Queen Bee, and have you all to herself.  For this reason, she would do best as the only feline in the house.  This goofy, busy girl is waiting for her slaves (errr…forever family) to come and bring her home.    MATURE ADOPTION FEE $75.  FOSTERED IN MINNEAPOLIS, MN.
