Nigel

NIGEL is a VERY Handsome, 10 month old, BLACK WITH WHITE (on his belly and a small spot on his chest) DOMESTIC MEDIUM HAIR with beautiful Gold/ Green eyes. He is neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/ FeLV, microchipped and has his claws.  He has an amazing shiny, silky soft medium length coat with this glorious tail and even some ear tips, he’s long bodied and weighs in around 10 lbs currently, which made his foster parents wonder if he might just have a little of one of the large cat breeds mixed in???

Regardless of breed, Nigel is a great kitty and his fosters parent are very, very fond of him, as was much of the staff at their veterinary clinic (He loved it there)!! He’s a very charming and social boy, who likes being where the action is unless it’s his nap time.  He is fine with being picked up and held and carried around, likes to receive pets and will sit on your lap for short periods of time. But you have to remember he’s still a kitten and so exploring and following his foster parents around to see what they are doing and playing with toys and other cats and watching the birds and chipmunks and squirrels are much more important at this point and time in his life. Oh and let’s not forget about eating, he loves his wet food as he is still a growing boy!  His litter box use is 100% and he is also good with using cardboard scratching boxes and freestanding sisal posts and the posts on cat trees. Speaking of cat trees, he currently prefers to sleep and take his naps in one of the beds or tubes or cubby spaces in the cat trees available to him.

He has been introduced to and is currently out and about with his foster homes own cats and doing very well, although not all of them appreciate his enthusiasm for playing and wanting to kitty wrestle with them…..So Nigel is definitely looking for a home with a younger and equally playful cat that enjoys kitty wrestling. He has not been around dogs to our knowledge, but because of his curious nature he should be fine, given a slow introduction, to a dog who has lived with younger, playful cats before. Because he is a bigger size kitten, his foster family feels he’d do best with older children (8yo and up) that would play with him with wand toys. He currently seems to dote on his foster dad a bit more then his foster mom…..Hmmm maybe I need to break the treats out😉.
