Etta
Beautiful, Affectionate, Playful are all words to describe ETTA, a 4 year old BLUE POINT SIAMESE. She is spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/ FeLV, microchipped and has her claws and weighs about 10 lbs.
This girl found herself at a large city shelter when her owner could no longer care for her. She was very confused and scared. Once in a foster home setting Etta came to realize that she was safe and loved and things were not so scary after all and is sharing what a beautiful, affectionate and playful girl she is.
Like so many kitties displaced from the only home they have known she starts out timid and will need time to settle in. Once Etta feels comfortable in her surroundings, you’ll find a gentle kitty who likes to receive your attention, pets and have a little fun too. She will start talking with you and to you, but she’s not overly talkative. She is moderately playful, whether it’s playing with you with wand toys (her favorite right now is the long fleece ribbon) or entertaining herself with small toys. She hasn’t really seemed interested in using the cat tree in her foster room yet, but will sit in the window when weather permits to soak up the sun and watch the wildlife outside her window. During her naps times you’ll either find her sleeping on one of the cardboard scratching boxes or her other favorite place to take a snooze is under the comforter on the bed in her foster room. Etta likes to eat just dry food at this point in time. She is also Very enthusiastic about treats. Her litter box use is 100%.
The best home for Etta would be one with prior Siamese cat experience, adults and possibly older kids(10 and up) that have grown up with cats. A busy active home with lots of people coming and going would be to much for her. She should be ok with easy going, non-confrontational cats given a slow and careful introduction. She would be a just fine being an only cat too. Not sure how she would be with a dog, but she could be ok with an older, gentle dog that has lived with cats before, again given a slow and careful introduction.
Etta didn’t expect to have her world as she had known it to be turned upside down….but given a little time she has adapted well to change and is going to make a wonderful companion for some lucky someone or family. ADOPTION FEE $175. FOSTERED IN MILWAUKEE, WI.
