Project Description

DANDY is a darling little CALICO PERSIAN. She is 2 to 3 years old, spayed, and has her claws. She weighs a whopping 6 pounds (she looks like a kitten!) and has what appears to be a silky, easy-care coat in a gorgeous trio of colors, but we don’t really know yet, because she came in spot shaved due to numerous tight matts. Dandy came to us from a local animal control as a stray. It was obvious she had been through some tough times as she had a wound behind her left ear, her left canine was broken off and her whiskers were partly singed. She was quite shut down for her first week in foster care as she only moved to eat and use the litter box. She really seemed to relish the peaceful, calm environment in which to heal herself. We can only guess what may have happened, perhaps she was hit by a car or was hiding up in a car when it was started. Despite her experiences, Dandy really adores attention. Understandably, she starts out nervous in new environments, but once she explores and knows she is safe, she adjusts fine. She is a VERY quiet, sweet natured cat. She doesn’t really have a meow-er and you literally have to feel for her purr because it’s so quiet. She is just starting to have some fun and play at night and this should continue to increase in a stable home. The best home for Dandy would be a calm, quiet, cat experienced adult home. She is fine with a gentle dog that ignores her and will not chase. She does not do well around other cats, so she needs to be your one and only. With people, she’s a great companion! She wants to be with them. She’s a lap cat and enjoys being pet. She can get overstimulated, so little kids would be too much for her. Calm, older kids would be fine. Do you have the right home for this cute little button? ADOPTION FEE: $225. FOSTERED IN GREEN BAY, WI.
