Athena

ATHENA is a 4 to 5 month old female BLACK DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR kitten, who recently had her rear leg amputated.

Athena came to SPCR from Chicago animal control with a severely broken leg. Although the vets in Chicago and Gurnee tried to save her leg, it was not possible.  Athena is now fully vetted and ready to find a home. (This includes being spayed,  feluk/fiv neg, 2 distemper vaccines, rabies, and deworming)

Athena is a low-key kitten.  She enjoys playing with toys and laying in the cat trees.  Athena can be an only cat or with one or 2 other gentle cats that will not play rough with her.  Athena may be shy at first. But she warms up quickly and likes attention. She is becoming quite playful, and would make an amazing addition to a luckily family.

Dogs would be too much for Athena. Respectful children would be fine.

Athena is currently eating both canned and dry food.
